Blog

I have wanted to be a probation officer for a long time just wanting to help everyone that I can to help get their life back and to do good for themselves. This one blog I started to read had a list of things that probation officers do and what their job entitles. Prisoners that are given an extra chance at freedom again are entitled to see a parole officer. Probation officers get people who are troubled, but the crime did not exceed a sentence in a correctional facility. These are the people who get to see the probation officers to help keep them out of trouble and to make sure they make their monthly visits. This website is one that I suggest to anyone who decides to pursue their criminal justice degree in being a probation/parole officer http://probationmatters.blogspot.com/2001/01/what-does-probation-officer-do.html. This just gives you a little bit more of a feel of what to expect in the career you are choosing. I think this has made a few things a little clearer in my eyes to what is happening in the real world. I believe that this is a great job for me because I love helping people especially if it is to help get their lives back on the right way of living. Some people just get involved in with the wrong crowds of people and get in trouble. I would love to work in the juvenile department, because our kids are what will make the world a different place they are our future and some has to be there to help!
